What is the employee giving campaign?

In March, every employee and physician at Jamestown Regional Medical Center is invited to join our annual employee giving campaign by making a personal donation. Philanthropy touches nearly every one of our patients in one way or another, so each donation, no matter what size, will make a difference for the children and families you care so deeply about.

 

I already give so much, why should I contribute financially?

While the sacrifices you make to our hospital are beyond measure, we are a nonprofit hospital and rely on the financial support of donors to remain a vital resource and provide the legendary care we are known for. Many of the programs and family and patients services that impact our patients’ experience are made available because of donor support.

Gifts donated to our hospital directly support care for thousands of our patients each year. Last year, over 1,200 donors supported JRMC Foundation. From a $10 donation from 95-year-old Adelle to a $35,000 gift from Unison Bank, every dollar makes a difference to our patients.

 

Many organizations ask for my support, why should I donate to our hospital?

Making a voluntary philanthropic gift shows that legendary care truly does start with you and is another way to strengthen the hospital.

Giving back to our hospital sends a powerful statement to your colleagues and our community. We rely on the generosity of our community so that we may continue to provide outstanding orthopedic, emergency, birth center, rehabilitation, screenings, urologic, oncology and many, many more areas of care. Each year, contributions from over one thousand individuals support everything from infant safety to innovations in technology that aren’t part of our hospital’s operating budget, and provide us with the funding needed to be the best at what we do. Is participation in the employee giving campaign mandatory?

No. Financial contributions are completely voluntary.

 

Does my giving have any influence on my performance review?

No. Giving has no influence on any performance evaluation.

 

How do I make a donation?

There are many ways to donate. You can donate online, through payroll deductions by visiting Foundation, or by completing and returning the donation form that was recently mailed to your home or office. Donation forms can also be found in the Foundation to the right of the main entrance of the hospital.

 

What are my payment options?

Payment options include payroll deductions, personal check, credit card, debit card, cash, planned gifts, or gifts of stock. There are other unique ways to support the foundation too! Just by making a choice when you shop Amazon or select Thrivent Dollars.

 

Can I use a payroll deduction?

Yes. Payroll deductions are available for hospital employees only. Sign up for payroll deductions using the form on TheCore or by submitting a request to Foundation.

Please note, unless specified, all donations go to the Greater JRMC Fund.

If you wish to donate to a specific program or department, or in memory or in honor of an individual, please make a note on your pledge form.

 

I am already giving monthly to the hospital—do I automatically join the HOUR Club?

Yes, employees and physicians already giving monthly are automatically enrolled in the HOUR Club program.

 

Can I choose where I want to designate my donation?

Of course!  We want your gift to be meaningful to you!  You can choose to designate your support. Philanthropic contributions support a wide array of programs and services, including a number of those in medical and surgical services, patient and family services, and community resources.

Please note, all gifts made through payroll deductions will go to the Greater JRMC Fund unless you notify the Foundation. To designate your payroll deduction, for inquiries or more information regarding how to direct gifts, please call Penny Holland at (701) 952-4880.

 

Is there a deadline for making my gift?

Gifts to our hospital can be made at any time throughout the year but the employee giving campaign officially begins on March 11th. To be eligible for drawing prizes, you must donate or turn in a completed donation form by 11 am on March 18, 2016.

Additionally, you can support our hospital year round for special projects and events.

 

How will my donation be recognized?

Your gift will be recognized every day as our hospital continues to provide legendary care to person who walks through our doors. You will also receive an acknowledgment letter and tax receipt for your donation at the end of the year. Gifts are published in AppleSeeds the Foundation Quarterly Newsletter and recognized on the Wall of Honor.

 

Can I make an anonymous donation?

Yes, please specify on your donation form that you want your gift to be listed anonymously.  We would still like to have your contact information so we can thank you, but your name will not be shared publicly.

 

What kinds of incentives are there?

Any employee who donates will receive a thank you gift.  Also, any employee who participates in the campaign by making a gift or turning in a completed donation form is eligible for  drawings with prizes.

Am I eligible for drawings even if I don’t give a gift?

Any employee who participates in the campaign by turning in a completed donation form is eligible for prizes. There are events during the annual campaign that Foundation encourages you to participate, regardless if you support the campaign.

 

How do I find out if I have won a drawing prize?

You will be contacted via email if you win a prize in a drawing. Each winner will also be posted on the TheCore, Foundation page.
