Tree of Love

Every tree has a story. Trees have gracefully and generously provided food, shelter and the air we breathe. Their strength, beauty and stillness symbolize the magic and wonder of life. Our tree is the Tree of Love. It honors those we love, miss and recognize as the difference in our lives. As we celebrate twenty years of our tree tradition, we invite you to purchase an ornament and dedicate your tag. support JRMC Foundation. Your investment provides lifesaving medical equipment for trauma patients at JRMC. Join us in our main lobby on December 19th at 2 pm for the Tree of Love dedication. Smettes named Philanthropists of the Year

Known for their volunteer work with service clubs, disaster relief, business development, education and healthcare, Dave and Claudette Smette are passionate about making the community, and the world, a better place. Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation named the Jamestown couple its Philanthropists of the Year for 2017. JRMC presented the award to the couple at its Pillars of Giving event on Sept. 12. Dave Smette joined JRMC’s Foundation board in 2009. In addition to Smette’s work at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, he and Claudette are also active with the Jamestown Rotary Club, Jamestown Tourism Board of Directors, U.S. Small Business Administration’s local SCORE chapter, the Jamestown Community Foundation, American Red Cross and Jamestown Chamber of Commerce. Prior to his life as a full-time volunteer, Smette served as the superintendent of Jamestown Public Schools. “Dave and Claudette are role models for the community,” said JRMC Foundation Director Lisa Jackson. “We all should aspire to give back the way they do.” With the help of supporters like Dave and Claudette, JRMC constructed its new building in 2011. That dedication helps grow the future of care for the community. “It’s because of people like Dave and Claudette that JRMC can offer the services it does. Journey to Oncology Campaign

Correen loved to celebrate life. She was generous with her time, in the good times and bad. She was the one who scheduled holiday gatherings, family reunions and created precious memories. Six years after passing away from lung cancer, Correen is making a gift to others. In her memory, her husband, Rick Mogck is establishing the first infusion room in the JRMC Cancer Center. The gift came from Correen’s life insurance policy. Content goes here “This gift is possible because for what Correen left. She’s making this happen,” says Rick. The JRMC Foundation Journey to Oncology Campaign is working to create local cancer care at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.  Your gift is critical to help build the JRMC Cancer center, purchase equipment, train staff, create healing spaces through art and build an endowment to sustain the services. “There are more than 100 people in Stutsman county alone who are diagnosed with cancer every year. This equals more than 800 chemotherapy treatments,” says Lisa Jackson, JRMC Foundation Director. “Helping us treat and manage cancer in our communities will help to reduce the financial burden and stress of travel to receive care. More importantly it will provide more time with the ones we love.”   JRMC Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization with the sole purpose of serving Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Through its philanthropic efforts, the Foundation supports JRMC’s ability to provide quality healthcare to the locally by contributing to hospital programs and services. For additional information or to make a donation to support the JRMC Cancer Center, contact Lisa Jackson at 701-952-4880 or email at ljackson@jrmcnd.com. Online giving form is...
